Supporting Cambridge’s community through education.
The Friends of the Community Learning Center, established in 1992, is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports adult education at the Cambridge Community Learning Center (CLC).
Adult education is for adults who need to further their education and training in order to improve their lives and the lives of their families and be contributing members of their communities.
Generously supported by our Community Partners:
Scholarships & college prep
We support Cambridge-based learners on their path to higher-education through annual scholarships and college-prep courses
Key learning resources
We provide CLC students with the resources and supplies they need to be successful, including: access to technology, basic school supplies, and English as a second language classes
Miscellaneous student needs
We understand that as our students pursue their dreams, unexpected obstacles can come up - that’s why we assist with emergency student costs that could potentially inhibit their learning experience
Our students have gone on to attend schools such as:
“Going to the Bridge-to-College Program was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made… I am so excited to be be starting at Bunker Hill Community College in pursuit of a nursing degree.”
